Charlotte Baldwin, EdS, LPC , and Director of the Asbury Counseling Center, has over thirty years of experience as a psychotherapist. Pending completion of her dissertation, she has completed all the requirements for her PhD. She is a licensed professional counselor who works with children, adolescents and adults. She specializes in parenting issues, childhood and adolescent behavioral difficulties, and adult relationship problems, in or outside the context of marriage. She also has extensive experience in helping individuals cope with child abuse, depression, anxiety, codependency and grief. Her deep spirituality and relationship with God are the foundation for the healing she provides in the counseling setting. Before developing the Asbury Child and Family Counseling Center in 1999, Mrs. Baldwin was the clinical supervisor for the National Children's Advocacy Center in Huntsville, Alabama and the Executive Director for the Parent Aide Program in Gainesville, Florida. She co-authored INSIDE SCARS, a book about recovery from child sexual abuse, and has been a national speaker and trainer on this topic. 

  Charles Hayden, MD is a board certified psychiatrist and member of the Christian Medical Society. After completing medical school and residency at UAB, Dr Hayden served at the Minirth- Meier clinic in Austin, Texas for 5 years, a large mental heath program with a Christian focus. His focus at Asbury Counseling Center is providing care for adults with depression, anxiety, attention deficit disorder and other conditions that may benefit from medication. He works closely with the therapists at Asbury and networks with other therapists in the area. His passion is helping church leadership better minister to the spiritual and mental heath needs of the people.  Robbie Dodson, MSW, LCSW, has worked as a counselor and educator for twenty years in the field of health and wellness, marriage and family, stress management, bereavement, divorce recovery, and general mental health issues. She is a licensed certified social worker and enjoys working with individuals, couples, groups, and children. She volunteers each year to participate in a camp for foster children with the Royal Family Kids Camp Program. Her goal is to provide Christ-centered professional treatment in a caring environment.  Nancy Dunn, MA, LPC, graduated from seminary with a Master's degree in Christian counseling. She has been in private practice for 15 years and has seven years of experience in school counseling. She is a licensed professional counselor specializing in individual and family issues. She works with couples in marriage counseling, and with parents and children in families. She also enjoys working with women's issues of all ages, individually and in group settings in the areas of codependency, depression, anxiety, loss, and relational issues. In all areas of counseling, she believes counselors are called to be representatives of the heart of God, to join Him in bringing healing to the wounded and broken areas of people's lives so they receive the promises of God for their lives and fulfill their God given destinies. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.


 Carl Stewart, MA, LPC, has been working with individuals and families in a variety of settings over the past 15 years, and began private practice in 1999. He specializes in marriages, families, children, and adult individuals. He is passionate about strengthening marriages and frequently works with couples recovering from affairs. Carl also enjoys working with men’s issues, particularly men and adolescents struggling with pornography, and watching the Lord bring healing to those in bondage of this trap.Carl and his wife have created and taught marriage enrichment seminars as well as a premarital classes and he frequently speaks at parenting groups. Tom Caldwell, MA, MS, LPC, has been a licensed counselor since 1994, but as a Christian minister, he provided pastoral counseling since 1975. Academically, he completed a Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology and a Master of Science degree in counseling psychology. Pending completion of his dissertation, he has completed all the requirements for a Doctor of Psychology degree. Professionally, he has a general mental health practice, with emphasis in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, adult ADD, and couples therapy (i.e. pre-marital & marital therapy, divorce therapy, etc.). He is approved by the Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution for Family and Divorce Mediation. He has been a teacher and speaker at conferences and seminars.  Meghan Byars, Office Manager, earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and is currently enrolled in the masters social work program at the University of Alabama A&M.  She has worked in office administration for the past seven years, including the management of a psychological private practice.  Meghan loves the Lord and looks forward to serving Christ through a career in counseling.
